Dr Tom Ritchie is a CATE award winner, RSC Inclusion and Diversity Award recipient, and Reader and Director of Student Experience at the University of Warwick, currently undertaking a Fulbright Scholarship at Elon University focusing on belonging, AI, and student experience. With over a decade of experience spanning academic and student union roles, he specialises in creating transformative educational environments that empower students and staff across the sector.

Tom holds advanced qualifications in Professional Coaching (OCM Apprenticeship), International Education Leadership (Monash, Cambridge, and King's College), Curriculum Design in Higher Education, and Interdisciplinary Pedagogies. This diverse expertise enables him to bridge theory and practice through evidence-based innovation.

His work focuses on developing holistic educational ecosystems that integrate all aspects of the student journey. Tom co-created 'We are Chemistry,' a CATE-winning wellbeing and inclusion programme that earned TEF Gold recognition and has been presented at national and international conferences. Drawing on his student union leadership background, he has developed authentic student voice strategies that enhance engagement and institutional governance. As an educator, Tom convenes interdisciplinary modules that prioritise student agency and innovative pedagogical approaches.

Tom has co-authored publications on engaged learning pedagogies and contributes thought leadership on co-creation, student engagement, and inclusive education practices. His research and practice consistently demonstrate how institutions can create more responsive, student-centred learning environments.
